Look whom THE KRAKEN has snatched!
Steadfast KRAKEN allies known for their talents, brawn, wit and humor.
ROBIN D. LAWS doesn't really need an introduction but just in case: Robin is the acclaimed game designer of
HeroQuest,
Hillfolk and
GUMESHOE, the system behind
Trail of Cthulhu, among many, many other prized and
plenty-awarded games and game supplements like
The Armitage Files. He also wrote our first Chapbook
Sharper Adventures in HeroQuest Glorantha. Robin is a writer, movie buff,
cartoonist,
blogger, editor, an awarded
podcaster, creative director, a celebrated
GM coach, a newfound beer enthusiast, a well-travelled and well-versed convention guest and first-class seminar speaker. He is a great GM and one of the best analytic and creative minds when it comes to
narration and narrative structures in games. Robin is currently working on the
Glorantha computer game
6 Ages among other projects. Since his first appearance at our bygone
Tentacles Convention we longed to invite him back and now the
Stars are Right! Robin will run some exclusive
Horror Lottery Games for us and host seminars and
workshops about designing
HeroQuest adventures for
Glorantha and GM Troubleshooting, he will co-host
Sandy & Robin's Movie Night AND act as judge in our
German Beer Tasting event.
SANDY PETERSEN aka the
Great Old One, aka
The Only Old One, aka
Mr. Shiny, aka
Carl Sanford, aka
The Bane of Daniel der Zauberer, aka
Uncle Sandy is the original designer of the roleplaying phenomenon
Call of Cthulhu is now happy that he is NOT going to miss THE KRAKEN for the first time after all! His urgent business matters that demanded his presence in Texas in October have been pushed to November. (Never underestimate the power of THE KRAKEN!) Sandy is widely acknowledged to be the most influential shaper of the fantasy world
Glorantha after the creator Greg Stafford himself. He is responsible for most of the fun you had playing computer games like
Doom (He fought to keep the shotgun in the game!),
Quake and the
Age of Empires ("Wololooo!") series. Now he is living his third-act career as a board game designer and solid
Kickstarter sensation. If you have not heard about
Cthulhu Wars,
Theomachy,
Orcs Must Die: The Boardgame or
Glorantha: Gods War yet you dwelt too long in the
Dreamlands and it is high time you check out
Petersen Games. Sandy's latest Kickstarter stunt is
Glorantha: Gods War, that runs until Thursday September 15, 2016 (15:07 CEST). Furthermore Sandy serves as
Vice-president of the Board of Directors of Chaosium, Inc. and acts as the Chief Creative Consultant and Guidance Ro-Man the legendary publisher. All Krakeneers can look forward to intimate play-test sessions of
Glorantha: Gods War, guided
Cthulhu Wars sessions with hopefully ALL expansions, weird movies, cool seminars, great chats and as tradition dictates an exclusive
Call of Cthulhu scenario sprung fresh from his mind for the 'winners' of our
Horror Lottery to play in.
JASON DURALL got started in the RPG industry with
Chaosium, playtesting and writing a tiny bit of

Dragon Lords of Melnibone. Other publishing credits with

Magic World. He has worked on
Cthulhu-based games such as

Amber Diceless Roleplaying, Conan, The Lord of the Rings, Silver Age Sentinels, Supernatural, A Game of Thrones, Serenity and
Battlestar Galactica as well as writing, playtest, and editorial on many other games. He is proudest of his diceless roleplaying game

Rite Publishing. In his day job in the computer games field, he's worked on
Shadowbane, Wizard101, Pirate101 and is now the lead designer on
Drakensang Online in Berlin. Jason is also the lead developer and contributing writer for
Modiphius's new Robert E. Howard's Conan:
Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of, and recently
joined Chaosium's design team for the brand new version of
RuneQuest. Eventually he will finish
Interplanetary. He has no spare time.BUT he will run some pretty nice
games for us (Conan: Adventures in an Age Undreamt Of for the win!) AND host a pretty darn cool Conan
seminar.

MICHAEL O'BRIEN better know as MOB, is the
Vice President (Product Development & Community Outreach) of Chaosium. He is also an author and contributor to numerous
RuneQuest &
Glorantha titles, most notably
Sun County and
Strangers in Prax. He was associate editor of the
Tales of Reaching Moon magazine, devised the rules for
Trollball as a participant sport for gaming conventions, masterminded the creation of the gloriously fake fanzine
Gorp and is one of the biggest advocates of
MGF (Maximum Game Fun). MOB co-hosts the gaming podcast series
Tales of Mythic Adventure with Jeff Richard, and is developing a new edition of
Credo, the game of dueling dogmas, and a new game,
Unfamy, the card game of the obscurely famous and marginally memorable for Chaosium. Yes, you can play them at THE KRAKEN,
look here and
here. To top things off he will bring the prototype of the new
Glorantha card game he has been working on with Reiner Knizia,
Kahn of Kahns, so you can play yourselves silly as
Praxian Nomads.

Cthulhu Mythos and
Glorantha with his work.
