Monaco, Summer 1969 — The Yacht Club de l’Ermitage is transferring the elegant wooden yacht Nyalar — belonging to its founder, Franc le Chargé — from Monaco to Illha do Corvo for the International Classics Regatta. What began with drinks and clement weather on the Quai l’Hirondelle continues in the same relaxed and luxurious manner at sea. It's a wonderful crossing — and the weather gets more beautiful every day. On day four, a lull sets in and the little boat floats on an ocean as calm as polished glass.
