WORKSHOPS

2012: The End of the Third Age

A Glorantha Boardgame Workshop with Grégory Privat

For years we've heard about the Elder Races of Glorantha and their secret plans. For years, we've heard of the Hero Wars which will change the world and start a Fourth Age. Stop listening: it's time to act. If you've waited since 1978 for Greg Stafford to destroy Glorantha, maybe you'll want to join the False Greg and just do it in 2012 (BTW - this is what was REALLY scheduled by the Mayans!).

Let's put all our knowledge about those secret plans together, create some new ones and build a boardgame with this material. This workshop is about gathering ideas, writing rules and eventually building a prototype of a boardgame that will allow us to play out the end of Glorantha.

Your Chaos Feature

A Miniatures Conversion Workshop with Grégory Privat

Join Grégory for a unique class of miniature conversion! This workshop will teach you how to design your personal Broo Chaos Feature for the 'Rumble in the Big Rubble' miniature game. The course also involves painting the miniatures. The Broo miniatures will be sponsored by Mad Knight Castings and the green stuff, paint, brushes and all other materials by Ludik Bazar. The most horrific Broo Chaos Feature will be awarded with a prize at the Closing Ceremony.

Horror in Gaming

A Cthulhu Workshop with Sandy Petersen

Sandy will share his tricks and secrets on how to put horror into your games like a Great Old One. He will draw on his hands-on experience designing the Call of Cthulhu RPG, the Doom and Quake computer games and random knowledge he gained watching frighting numbers of Horror movies. You will also be able to steal nifty Keeper tricks like how to create realistic NPC names or how to make your bad guys really evil. The workshop includes the step-by-step design of a classic Sandy Petersen Call of Cthulhu scenario.

Mapping Mythology

A Glorantha Workshop with Jeff Richard

Join Jeff Richard for a creative discussion on how to approach heroquests and the Gloranthan otherworlds in games, art and stories. Your ideas and input are very welcome and might bear fruit in future Moon Design publications.
