Axe Throwing, (Speed) Archery & Atlatl Spear Throwing
Host: Risto 'The Axe Whisperer' WellingIt sounded like a mad idea at first but it turned out to be a mad success and became an instant KRAKEN classic. No KRAKEN without axe throwing and archery! Risto ‘The Axe Whisperer’ Welling will teach us traditional axe throwing skills, archery & speed archery techniques again and will add spear throwing (with atlatl!!!) to the curriculum. Advanced learners can come back to hone their skills. Only sober adults are allowed to participate, of course.
Your teacher has great trust in the skills you build during his lessons.
The target has now survived several harsh Brandenburg winters in top condition.
You know you have to this sign it beforehand, right? We are crazy but not that crazy.
Massages
Host: Anne MerrillKrakeneer Anne will offer massages for all you weary gamers and gamemasters at THE KRAKEN. Be it dice or axe throwing pain — Anne will fix you up for a small price! We know Sandy will want one. Scratch that, he wants five!

German Beer Tasting
Judge: Robin D. LawsWell, sometimes the best ideas come from the outside and are in hindsight most obvious. Like having a wine tasting at our Tentacles Convention which was conveniently located in a famous German wine region in a town named Bacharach (after Bacchus the god of wine). Did we come up with it? Nah, it took a Canadian (Thanks, Alison Place!) to point that idea out to us after a decade going to that place. Now Viking gal and Krakeneer Heija from Iceland suggested having a German Beer Tasting on Facebook. Oh boy, we should have come up with that idea ourselves (after the wine tasting fail and all). Especially since we have the perfect judge at arms reach this time. Not only is Robin D. Laws the secret ringleader an infamous group of Foodies, disguised as Guests of Honor for gaming events, but he also became a lover of beer in the not so distant past. We even had him and John Kovalic host a German Beer Tasting before (!) at our sister convention Hannover spielt! Duh. Well, lets see how your favorites from 2013 taste now, Robin.

UNFAMY — the Quiz Show
Hosts: Michael 'MOB' O'Brien, Jeff Richard, Neil Robinson & Rick MeintsJoin MOB and the Chaosium team as they match wits with celebrity guest panelists and audience members in the UNFAMY Quiz, a fast and funny game show about the obscurely famous and marginally memorable. Who was 'Erik the Memorable'? What was the name of the first Hungarian in space? Was Father Alphose Redacto really the Chief Censor of Paintings for the Spanish Inquisition?* There is no need to know the answers, just come up with something cunningly plausible to fool everyone else! Based on the new UNFAMY card game.
*Answers: An unpopular early king of Denmark; Bertalan Farkas; No
Sandy's & Robin's Movie Nights
Hosts: Sandy Petersen & Robin D. LawsA KRAKEN CLASSIC: Sandy will bring movies from his insane and weird DVD collection* to show at THE KRAKEN. This year Sandy will partner with renowned movie connoisseur Robin D. Laws. Robin will, of course, contribute some selected films. It will be 6 movies but only 3 will be shown! It will be 5 good films PLUS the (currently) worst movie of all times. Which movie will be screened each night is decided by a blind draw through the hands of a random victim (like Ken Rolston last year) in the audience. When the worst movie is not bad enough we can just default to Daniel der Zauberer again. No worries, it will be entertaining as hell**.
*It contains mostly scary Horror movies, funny Horror movies, weird Horror movies, Classics (by Sandy’s definition), Must-Sees and things you never heard of. Oh yes, and unimaginable bad movies.
**Just sitting next to Sandy when he is giggling with excitement for a movie can entertain you for hours. Yes, we tested it. It's foolproof.
Ken Rolston is fearlessly grabbing a movie out of the Bag of Horrors.
'twas too horrible for the camera. (Not really. No.)
Heija is an Icelandic Viking gal. Nope, she has no fear of the Bag of Horrors.
Sandy is delighted. Great film, Heija!
Chant-Along-A-Squid!
Host: Sverre 'Trifletraxtor' LarneThis is our best chance to summon the Old Gods through horrible singing this year! Join all the cultists, the would-be-cultists and investigators in disguise for our Cthulhu Sing-Along to summon the Great Old Ones, the Outer Gods or whoever will listen. Chant with whatever voice you have, as long as it's loud! Nasty delicacies from Norway might be served. The end is near!
Looks cozy — is cozy, alas, not for your ears.
Nasty delicacies from Norway will be served again. Maybe not Broo heart again.
